I’ve been doing a lot of shoots for Nikon recently, including doing a story on my winter owl photography trip. I had only recently received the new 600m F4 Z 1.4x lens, and couldn’t wait to try it out in rough conditions. So I headed into a winter storm warning in Wyoming in December to run the lens through the ringer. The 600mm is a stunning performer, and this article goes into detail on autofocus in blizzards tracking a great gray owl. Super fun shoot!
