Outdoor Photographer magazine is a must for any landscape, travel, wildlife and adventure sports photographer. I’ve been a reader and contributor for many years, and still read it cover to cover each issue. Their website also offer loads of tips, techniques and industry news…check it out.
In the recent issue I wrote a story titled Local Adventure. With travel restricted and not even allowed to many foreign destinations, this is the summer to explore the USA. And lucky for Americans, we have some amazing parks and diversity in our environment. The editor asked me to cover the entire USA, which is a lot of ground. But I’ve been lucky to travel and photograph in all 50 states, so l had images that went from the Florida Keys to the Alaskan arctic. The story focuses on adventure sports, and these range from simple canoe trips on local lakes to camping in a national park. If you get a chance, read the article and see if any ideas come to mind. I’ve talked to a lot of photographers who have barely picked up a camera in the last few months. I hope this story inspires you to go out and shoot!
