How fast can you photograph?

November 27, 2019 • In The News

Lightroom Magazine just came out, and I got lucky with another cover on this publication.  What was really interesting about this shoot was the concept.  In talking with the editor, we wanted to come up with a concept to illustrate simple lighting techniques that required very basic setups and equipment.  In other words, lighting techniques anyone could do with 1 or 2 lights.  But as with many photo shoots, this story evolved into something a little different.  How about doing five different portraits that illustrate the creative possibilities of lighting? Oh, and they have to be done in one hour.  Imagine completely changing sets and model styling every 12 minutes and you get the idea.  We had a blast with this shoot, and once again I was reminded how small adjustments in lighting transform the mood of a portrait.  Did we beat the one hour countdown?  You will have to read the story to find out!  Available for KelbyOne subscribers.
