Cree and I hope everyone is having a good Thanksgiving! We spent the morning in our backyard bird blinds photographing finches, chickadees and bushtits. We have spent countless hours enjoying our ‘wildlife backyard’, a great way to enjoy photography without leaving your house. If you are interested in setting up your own backyard bird photography station, consider joining our online bird photo class next week, we still have a few spots left.
Yesterday we photographed at Arsenal NWR in Denver from our car. Lots of bison, deer and prairie dogs. We started before sunrise and were shooting at ISO 6400, typical for low light wildlife photography. In addition to shooting cameras that do great with high ISO performance, we also knew we would use our favorite plug in to reduce noise….Topaz Denoise. If you shoot high ISO images, you should get this plugin. We use it daily and the results are just incredible. We also have gone back in our files and found images from years ago and processed them in Denoise, and they look terrific. So if you are in the holiday shopping mood, consider the plugin for your processing. We’ll have more holiday gift ideas tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving!
