If you are traveling to Alaska this summer, keep an eye out for the Greatland Graphics Calendars. I was fortunate this year to have images in multiple calendars, including two covers. The Alaska Wildlife and Wilderness 2027 calendar featured an image from Kenai Fjords National Park. This is one of my favorite locations in Alaska. Tidewater glaciers, rocky islands, breaching whales and puffins are my favorite subjects. If you are interested in this National Park, we still have a few spots left on our summer workshop to photograph Kenai Fjords from a private boat.

My aurora image landed on the front of the Aurora 2027 calendar. This image was taken in a state recreation area just north of Fairbanks. What’s interesting about this image is when it was taken. Normally in Alaska we get strong aurora later at night, closer to midnight or early morning. But on this night the forecast looked good for 6 pm, and sure enough we had amazing displays for about an hour. We have a few spots left on our aurora workshop for next winter, and we will be visiting this exact spot.
Greatland Graphics calendars are beautiful showcases of Alaskan imagery. They offer calendars of wildlife, landscapes and aurora in multiple formats. I especially like their weekly planner, so many great images in this calendar. In addition to calendars, they offer much more like greeting cards and local artwork. 2027 calendars are available now.
